Birthday Camping at Raccoon Creek State Park

This week I went on a birthday camping trip to Raccoon Creek State Park with my partner and a few of my friends. This trip was planned in advanced, with a two week trip to California only a few days before. This overnight trip happened Saturday, May 16. It was probably one of the best camping trips I've had in a while.
What went right:
Since this was party, I used the app Partiful for RSVPS and information. It ended up being a lifesaver when it came to organizing, text blasts, and giving beginner campers all the information they might need.
New tent who dis? I bought a new tent, it was large and spacious. I ended up giving our old tent and a ton of old gear to friends who never been camping before. They loved it! I can't wait to camp with them again.
What I would do differently:
I need a new cot! My air mattress is a cheapo one that deflates really fast. It worked out though my husband slept on a single cot I slept in the car.
A small table for grilling and chopping near the bonfire.
So close to the perfect lot. B7 was great but I was checking out B8 and it was a little bit more intimate with more trees surrounding the campsite.
happy camping (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)
